First appeal week raises over £150,000!

This year’s Greggs Breakfast Club Appeal, held from April 28th to May 4th, has soared past last year’s fundraising milestone!

Over £153,000 was collected in just seven days, enough to fund more than 600,000 nutritious breakfasts for children attending Breakfast Clubs across the UK.

Once again, Greggs colleagues and customers showed their dedication to supporting Greggs Foundation Breakfast Clubs during the week-long fundraising drive. Greggs teams united to champion the 25p till donation initiative and engage in fundraising activities to boost the donation amount from the first of two appeal weeks in 2024.

The surge in donations for this year’s appeal week is significant – a 53% increase on the first appeal week of 2023.

A key factor driving donations was the 25p donation at the till and a huge thank you to all Greggs customers for donating during the week-long appeal.

The funds raised during appeal week will help The Greggs Foundation in our target of establishing 1000 breakfast clubs by 2025, whilst also helping to fund the 900+ existing clubs in UK schools.

As we gear up for the second appeal week, we just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to all our Greggs colleagues and customers who truly went the extra mile to boost the fundraising amount for this year’s appeal.
