2026 charity walk takes on Teesdale 12 mile circular

Over 160 Greggs colleagues and partners joined us for the 12 mile (some may say 13 mile) walk through the glorious Teesdale countryside on the 14th May.

To say the weather was ‘challenging’ is an understatement.  We experienced just about every weather possible – including hail – but it never dampened the spirits.  A huge, generous thank you from all of us at the Greggs Foundation to everyone who gave up their day to come and fundraise with us.  We couldn’t ask for a better, more positive group of supporters to take on such a challenge and we’re already planning where our next walk will take us in 2027.   

A special shout-out to the Langdon Beck Hotel.  Nothing was ever too much trouble - truly a hidden gem to explore this lovely part of the country. 

Of course, special thanks must go to those who help to make this day such a success.  Cranswick were manning the BBQ and creating amazing hot dogs for all the tired participants at the finish line, Kraft Heinz brought along their food van to serve up some lovely fish tacos, and Red Bull supported us throughout the day by stationing their Airstream along the walk for refreshments. Biffa made sure we were looked after by supplying Portaloos at the rest stops, while TurboChef, Middleby UK, and Follett generously offered food support. Novograf created our finish line banner and PepsiCo and Innocent backed us with drinks and snacks to keep us going when energy levels were dipping. Dimensions also helped us out with T-shirts at a discounted rate and we also want to give a special thanks to Bowlees Visitor Centre for providing such wonderful hosting and support for our lunch stop.   

Thank you everyone for always making this a real highlight of our fundraising calendar and for so generously supporting our Feeding Brighter Futures programme with your time and donations.  We can’t promise we’ll make next years walk any easier but we can certainly hope it might be a little drier!
