Breaking barriers and building brighter futures with the Greggs Foundation

This year our appeal weeks are changing, we’re launching a bold fundraising goal – to raise £1 million for our Feeding Brighter Futures programme by the end of 2026. 

This means we'll be calling on Greggs colleagues and customers to help reach our new target at Greggs locations across the UK on four dedicated fundraising days this year.

Why do we need to raise funds for schools?

Our Feeding Brighter Futures programme supports children who might otherwise miss out on valuable opportunities for food, learning and play.  From breakfast, after-school and holiday clubs to school trips, we’re funding places and programmes that can help build a brighter future for children.   

Every penny raised supports over 1,000 schools and helps transform an “I can’t” into an “I’m in!” for children who could miss out on vital opportunities outside the classroom.

Introducing Fundraising Fridays

To help us reach our £1m target, we’re launching four Fundraising Fridays throughout the year, where colleagues and customers come together to raise money and celebrate the impact of Feeding Brighter Futures in schools. 

For 2026, the Fundraising Friday dates are: 

• Friday 6 March 

• Friday 1 May 

• Friday 31 July 

• Friday 18 September 

Each one is an opportunity to raise much-needed funds and a reminder of the difference donations are making.   

How you can get involved    

There are lots of different ways to donate, but a few to keep in mind: 

• Customers can donate via the till donation button all year round and on every Fundraising Friday, we’ll be suggesting a 50p donation from customers.   

• A Greggs Jammy Heart biscuit is not only a delicious treat, but also a way to donate.  Have a heart and 5p from every biscuit sold is donated to The Greggs Foundation.   

• You can also donate on the Greggs app! Simply click the donate button when making an order via the app and a donation will be added to the overall total during appeal week.
